CDC has again met with a very sad tragedy by the sudden death of the Chairman of the CDC Board of Directors, Tatah Okiah Chief Namata Henry Elangwe.
Chief Namata Elangwe passed onto eternity at the Muna’s Clinic in Bonanajo, Douala, in the early hours of Wednesday 5th March 2014, following a brief illness. The CDC family was gravely stricken after the General Manager sent an official communiqué informing the workers and government officials of the sad event. The CDC management was entreated to fly the CDC flag at half mast from that Wednesday 8th March 2014, until after his interment, as an endeavour to give him the last respect.
Tatah Okiah Namata Elangwe was appointed Chairman of the CDC Board of Directors in December 2003 and assumed these functions in January 2004 after his official installation. The CDC family will remember him as a very concerned did all within his capabilities to offer the worker a better working condition in CDC. He was summarily a fatherly figure to the CDC management and workers.
The funeral program has been arranged for Saturday 8th March 2014 at his palace in Kake, Kumba with a funeral service beginning at 10:00am and burial at 1:00pm. The chairman will be greatly missed by the CDC family.
